Nothing has prepared me more for this job than motherhood.

I am the proud mama of James, four, and Katherine, almost one. I believe that parents are the best teachers for their children and strive to love, teach, and respect your little ones as my own.

Before I ran my dayhome I worked as a nanny for a family with two young boys. Caring for three young boys under six taught me to be a creative, confident, quick-thinking parent. I love the busyness of having all of the children and believe that they really benefit from being with others of their age, size, and level of development.

I hold a current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certificate issued by the Canadian Life Saving Society.

Young children are eager to learn and incredibly sensitive to the world around them. I hold a Child Development Assistant Certificate from Alberta Children and Youth Services and completed the Early Childhood Education requirements at Lethbridge College in December 2010.

I graduated from the U of A in 2009, earning a B.Sc. in Nutrition. I especially loved learning about the role of nutrition in child and maternal health, and the impact of early eating habits on later life.

I volunteered in the Childcare Hut at Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp for over 5 years and was then a camp counselor. Many of my campers are now married and having babies of their own!
